Adventure Awaits North of the New!

Discover the hidden gems and scenic views North of the New River Gorge Bridge.

Inspired by local Midland Trail High School students, the North of the New Scavenger Hunt is now open for everyone to join!

Follow the fun as you explore stops North of the New River Gorge Bridge with the North of the New Passport available at the New River Gorge Visitor Center and Gran Robbie’s Coffee Shop. From unique landmarks to cascading waterfalls, write down something that you see at each location to complete the scavenger hunt.

Visit three locations and win New River Gorge swag to commemorate your adventure. Conquer ALL five stops and you’ll be entered to win a grand prize giveaway worth $500!

Once you’ve completed the North of the New Scavenger Hunt by noting what you saw at each location, turn in your passport to claim your prize at the New River Gorge Visitor Center or Gran Robbie’s. If you visit outside of open hours, please drop your passport in the dropbox located outside of these locations.

    From Canyon Rim Visitor Center, go north on U.S. Route 19 for 0.3 miles to the next intersection, and turn right onto Lansing-Edmond Road and continue for 6 miles to Winona. Turn right onto Keeneys Creek Road and travel 4.1 miles to the main parking area.
