Vacationers at Babcock may select from among 13 standard log cabins located by Glade Creek (trout stream) - (may require access by as many as 65 steps), five standard cabins of frame construction, eight bungalow cabins and two deluxe handicap accessible cabins. Each standard cabin features a woodburning fireplace, fully equipped kitchen and bath with shower. All cabins feature electric lighting, modern appliances, and are completely equipped for housekeeping including cooking utensils, dishes, flatware, bed linens, and towels. Bungalow cabins are a combination of living/dining/bedroom with built-in double bunks or single size bunks, small bath with shower, and a screened in porch. Deluxe accessible cabins are very modern and have heating/air conditioning as well as gas fireplace and HDTV. All of our cabin's open in Mid-April and close the last week of October, weather permitting.

Cabin 5 is $55. per night without hot tub, with hot tub is $85 per night, up to 4 people, additional people it's $10 more per person on all cabins. Sorry for the inconvenience but the hot tub is temporarily out. Cabin 2 has a kitchenette, bathroom, hot tub and now direct t.v. This cabin is $125 a night with the hot tub, $100. a night without the hot tub, up to 4 people, 5 or more is $10 more per person. This cabin can also be equipped with a ramp for wheelchair patrons. Sorry for the inconvenience but the hot tub is temporarily out. Linens are supplied for a small charge for cabins 1, 3, 4 and 5. Linens are free in Cabin 2. All cabins are supplied refrigerators and jugs of water and all have microwaves.

Located less than a mile away from our main campus, our 38-acre Mountain State Campground offers a scenic space for you to get up close and personal with the wild and wonderful West Virginia outdoors on your own or with a group—with a later quiet time than our Mill Creek Campground. Every campsite on this campground has a fire ring and picnic table, and we offer firewood, charcoal and ice delivery to all our on-site campgrounds and cabins. Pets are welcome, but must be leashed. Nearby is a large shower/restroom facility, camp goods store, a large recreation field and rental pavilion. A shuttle runs to the main campus on Saturday nights, so you easily make it to your Adventures on the Gorge activities or enjoy live music at the Rendezvous Lodge without worrying about driving.

The closest campground to the New River Gorge Bridge. Chestnut Creek Campground offers quiet primitive camping in the woods. We are a mere half a mile (0.5mi) from the New River Gorge Bridge! That's walking distance folks. Our hygienic facility has hot showers, lavatory stalls, hand washing sinks, and a wash basin located outside for dish washing and filling up water jugs. Firewood and Ice are available on site as well. Each campsite has a picnic table and a fire pit. A general store and burrito bar are located literally around the corner; Both are within walking distance. Hiking and Climbing trail-heads (Fern Buttress, Endless Wall, Beauty Mountain; to name a few) are just down the way and access to the river is a stone's throw away (our drive is just across from Fayette Station Rd). If you're wanting to venture further to more local restaurants/shops; we are only a 5 minute drive from downtown Fayetteville. We are a pet friendly establishment for those with dogs who love to travel as much as you do. We keep quiet hours from 11pm-7am (starts @ midnight on weekends). Mainly we accommodate rustic tent camping, however; some sites are able to accommodate pop-up campers and trailers up to 20ft (we do not have hookups/electric).
