Follow our country roads along the river for a picturesque drive that’s full of history. This February, celebrate Black History Month on the African American Heritage Auto Tour, a fascinating driving route developed by the New River Gorge National Park and Preserve. This self-guided tour will take you to seventeen historic sites across the Gorge, including historic landmarks such as Camp Washington Carver, Hawks Nest Workers Memorial and DuBois High School.
