116 Main St. Mt. Hope, is a museum featuring the local history of DuBois High School (1919-1956). The school was one of two black high schools in Fayette county, WV. The collection of newspapers, articles, pictures, and other donated items that relate to Dubois High, began from a converstation at the bi-annual school reunion in the late 1990's with members of the class of 1953. OPEN Tues. - Wed. (11am-5pm) and Fri. - Sat. (11am - 5pm). Appointments for groups of 5 or more call 304-578-7707 or 304-877-0070. This is a nonprofit museum. Admission is FREE but donations are gladly accepted.
