New season, new deals!

Spring break starts now with these tempting offers!
Old Man Winter has really been slacking off. Now it’s your turn! With special whitewater packages and zip lining adventures to choose from, it looks like a new season is finally here.

Waves of savings Rafting

Beginning in March, ACE Adventure Resort has the earliest commercial rafting trips available. The Rapid Run Special gets you on the water faster than anyone else, too. Spend a half day on the Lower New River, which teems with Class III-V waves. It’s a steal at $59.
As spring progresses and rapids get even bigger, these trips become available:

  • Midweek Adventure Special: Ride the mild Upper New or zippy Lower New for a full or half day, Tuesdays-Thursdays from April 1 to May 15. You can also go ziplining. Total cost: $89 a person.
  • Spring Double Dare Package: Raft the Lower New in a sturdy 16-foot raft— twice! Trips in April are $139, including meals and camping.

Adventures on the Gorge is also offering deals on summer adventures for the entire month of March! Rafting trips start at $99 per person and zipline adventures start at $50 per person. Adventures on the Gorge starts whitewater season in April f you’re itching for some springtime adventure!
You can also join River Expeditions for its 35th Annual Ice Breaker Weekend on April 1. In addition to rafting, you’ll get a BBQ feast, 2 nights of camping, and parties with games and a DJ. This outfitter also has Terrific Weekday Deals. Buy a single-day rafting trip on the New River for Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday, and your next outing is 50 percent off!
Open air space
Glimpse the first blush of spring, far above the forest. It’s the best way to survey the vast New River Gorge area. Plus, the fastest rides and most challenging aerial games on the East Coast soon open for business!
To start with, there’s Gravity Zip Lines— an exhilarating rush that’s faster than anything on the local highways. Soar 200 feet above the trees, cover 1.5 miles on multiple rides, and hit 60+ mph on Adrena-Line, Adventure On The Gorge’s foremost attraction. Rides open April 1.
There’s also TimberTrek Adventure Park, an aerial obstacle course with platforms, swings, and wobbly bridges. Challenges go from easy to complex, and you’ll encounter more than 60 of them! Go at your own pace or get tips from staff. Either way, these memorable puzzles will make you feel like Indiana Jones! TimberTrek opens April 1.
Check this out: Kids 12 and under can play for half the cost. They must be 7 or older for TimberTrek, or 10 and up for the TreeTops Zip Line Canopy Tour.
There’s also The Ridges— West Virginia’s newest zipline. It’s part of River Expedition’s canopy tour, which starts April 1. Climb cargo nets and stride above the trees from one platform to another. As a bonus, there’s a rappel station, too.
But if you can’t wait til April, Adventure On The Gorge’s and ACE’s zip line canopy tours are open all year.
