Sweet inspirations for Valentine's Day

Nothing says “I love you” better than a special meal. Our bakeries, cafes, and restaurants have sweet and savory ways to help you celebrate!

Dessert first

Simple pleasures go a long way— especially if they’re warm from the oven.
Oak Hill’s new Sugar and Spice Bakery will have heart-shaped cookies, iced and ready to go with coffee or tea. You can even get heart donuts! Other specialties include buttercream cupcakes, cheesecake, and slices of sweet bread.
Sweet T’s Bake Shop, a Fayetteville newcomer, already has a following. Catch one whiff of those warm cinnamon rolls, and you’ll become a fan, too. Split one with your date or go for a cupcake: triple chocolate, toasted coconut, red velvet and more!
Sweet T’s does lunch, too. The owner makes classic sandwiches with homemade bread, soup, salads, and pepperoni rolls.

A few of The Station’s delicious offerings

Head to Oak Hill for a special Valentine’s Day meal! Cafe One Ten’s romantic menu is enough to melt anyone’s heart: a salad with soft dinner rolls and butter; an entree (salmon filet or prime rib); and dessert (strawberry Champagne cake balls and Valentine’s Day fortune cookies). Sparkling Champagne or grape juice are complimentary.
With its farm-fresh cuisine, The Station is worthy of any date, too. Start off with an appetizer like applewood smoked wings, artisan cheese, or Guinness-braised carnita quesadillas.
For the main course, you’ll have lots of decisions to make. Will it be a pan-seared local trout, artisan pork chop, or fresh garden salad? Choices abound. You’ll want to make room for a slice of peanut butter pie, though.

A Victorian getaway

Don’t stand in the way of progress! At the Historic Morris Harvey House B&B, romance lasts more than 1 day.
The “A Valentine’s to Remember” package starts off with an overnight stay. You’ll also get sparkling wine or cider, 2 keepsake glasses, and chocolate-covered strawberries. In the morning, the innkeeper will present you with a gourmet breakfast.
Still, you don’t need a date to celebrate Valentine’s Day! Go ahead, treat yourself to something sweet.
