5 Holiday Events in the New River Gorge

The New River Gorge is in full holiday swing!

arts-wvThis weekend kicks off a holiday frenzy of fun, jam-packed with fun events for the season. Here are 5 holiday events to check out:

Ansted Parade

Dec. 13, 4 p.m.
Catch the “Country Christmas” themed event with Appalachian flair flooding the streets of Ansted. Santa will be handing out treat bags. Follow the fun all the way to the Ansted Baptist Church, where you can enjoy refreshments and door prizes at the community Christmas after party.

Fayetteville Christmas Parade

Dec. 10.
Get a double dose of parades! America’s Coolest Small Town is taking to the streets to celebrate! Follow all the local businesses, organizations and displays as they showcase their seasonal spirit.

Dec. 6, 7-10 p.m. at The Grove
Discover some of the area’s most unique artisan works at the arts sampler, featuring tons of local talent. They’ve crafted ornaments, pottery, woodworks and more for you to browse. Music and refreshments will also be available.

Breakfast with Santa

Dec. 6, 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Cathedral Cafe
Rise and shine for some delicious local food and a chance to cheers with Santa himself! Come enjoy a fresh coffee and a hearty meal, and let the kids tell Mr. Clause what they’d like this year.

Dec. 4-7 at the Historic Fayette Theater
This heartwarming mystery tells the story of 2 new inn owners and their guests trapped in a blizzard. But some of these guests are not who they appear…
