Get goosebumps in the Gorge!

Here’s where to find the best Halloween spook-tacles!
Now that Oct. 31 is almost here, join us for some spooky fun! Here are the Gorge’s best haunted trails, games and festivities:

Mothman Sightings in the Gorge!

For the entire month of October, Point Pleasant’s red-eyed creature makes its home in Fayetteville.
Epic Escape Game New River Gorge’s new interactive game seals you inside the Mothman’s lair, with only 1 hour left until the monster returns (the Mothman is a punctual fellow). Can you and your buddies escape? Solve clues, riddles and puzzles to get out before he finds you!

“Hocus Pocus” at the Lewis Pumpkin House

Set Oak Hill will be ablaze with grinning jack-o-lanterns! Add your own carved creation to the collection!
A flock of witches will decorate the Lewis House with candle-lit pumpkins Oct. 29. You have to carve a hole at the bottom of the pumpkin for the candle— not the top. Drop off your pumpkin from 10 a.m. to noon and come back at 6 p.m. for the dramatic illumination and 8 p.m. showing of “Hocus Pocus”!Nightmare in the Gorge

Halloween at ACE Adventure Resort

Creep through ACE’s abandoned resort, complete with bump-in-the dark trails, at Nightmare in the Gorge on Oct. 21-22. Or, try to dodge the living dead as they try to swipe your “brain” at the 5k Zombie Run on Oct. 22. Win a prize if you survive with the most vital organs (flags.) Want to be a zombie? Your entry fee includes an undead makeover!
If you aren’t in the mood for monsters, ACE will have “No Scare Hayrides” and a Halloween Costume Party, too! Or, upgrade your adventure with a nighttime zip ride through the spectral woods at 35 mph! (Since this is such a popular outing, you should reserve some tickets.)
