Join WVSU Extension at New Roots Community Farm in Fayetteville on Saturday, April 6, from 1-4 p.m. for a combination apple tree grafting and fruit tree pruning workshop. Participants can expect to learn about the different ways to graft an apple tree and then graft one to take home! Then, we will discuss best management practices for pruning fruit trees for health and production and go outside for some hands-on demonstration.
This workshop is limited to 25 participants, and registration is required because supplies are limited. All supplies will be provided, including rootstocks, scion wood, grafting tools, cut-resistant gloves, and hand pruners! If you want to bring your own apple scion wood, please feel free to do so, but the rootstocks will be limited to one per registrant.
