Wood Iron Eatery is a small chef and wife-owned coffee house cafe located in Fayetteville, WV. Jeffrey and Lori met in Maui in 2005 and have been partners in crime ever since. For about 10 years, they lived in California (San Francisco and Los Angeles) where Lori worked as an attorney and Jeffrey built on his already-extensive career with food. However, the duo missed their family too much, so moved back to Fayetteville in 2016, where Lori was born and raised. When the couple was presented with an opportunity to rent the restaurant space in the historic Ankrom-Dickerson House, they jumped on the chance to make their dream of opening a small place where Jeffrey's love of food and coffee could shine a reality. To pay homage to their families who have done so much to help them bring their dream to fruition, the couple decided on the name Wood Iron Eatery (Lori's great-grandfather ran a small family saw mill business prior to the coal boom in WV, and Jeffrey's family worked in the steel industry in PA). Lori and Jeffrey's goal is to serve a fresh, playful menu and to provide a space where all feel welcome - just as they felt when they moved back home.
