A Different View: Unique Ways to View Gorge Fall Colors

The leaves are getting ready to peak here in the New River Gorge and there are a number of great spots to enjoy the fall colors. From the visitor’s center overlook to Long Point Trail, some of the more popular destinations will get you that classic gorge photo. But, there are a few other options that will give you a unique view of the fall foliage.
Biplane Gorge Adventure
Nothing beats a birds’ eye view of the New River Gorge, especially during the fall season. Fly high above the Gorge and surrounding mountains in a fully restored WWII Stearman biplane. Ziplining and Aerial Adventures
Fly through the trees and see the fall colors up close and personal! The New River Gorge area has a number of ziplining and ropes courses that are a great way to enjoy the fall season.
