Murder at the Juice Joint
With the passing of prohibition and organized crime on the rise, The Juice Joint, a swanky speakeasy run by Rosie Marie, has been nothing but jumping. To celebrate its success, Rosie is planning a party to remember at the exclusive nightspot… and you are invited! However, one of the names on the guest list is also on another’s hit list… and no one is safe from the consequences.
With the murder on the menu, you are certain to find a medley of individuals to make the night most memorable. There are major mobsters and their molls to the swanky singer with her hopes at Hollywood. A cigarette girl with a temper that sizzles to the crooked police chief with nothing to lose—no one is safe from murder…but everyone will have a chance at solving it.
Will the culprit be the Mayor who is capable of murder; the blacklisted bootlegger desperate to increase their sales; or possibly the director with a shot at making history? It’s up to you to find out. But don’t try it on an empty stomach. This may be the Juice Joint, but it’s also Smokey’s on the Gorge, and we have a menu fitting for both…
Starters:
Crispy phylo-wrapped spinach
Juniper beef crostini with martini and olive salsa
Smoked salmon tartare on cucumber rounds
Buffet:

Roasted chicken breast with rainer cherry sauce
Grilled shoulder tenderloin with fresh rosemary pinot noir sauce
Tortellini in pesto sauce
Baked halibut dusted with peppercorns, raspberry burre blanc
Served with rum laced fruit salsa
Roasted butternut squash with raisins, red onions, walnuts and a sherry maple vinaigrette
Harvest rice
Bread pudding with bourbon sauce
Each person will be assigned a character to dress up as to add a little extra fun. There are active roles and background roles (for those who really just want to dine). Please be sure to reserve your spots prior to January 12 to be sure you get your character information. Active roles are first come, first serve.
