2018 Water Safety Weekend

Enjoy a summer a safe water adventures! Try your hand at FREE hands-on water safety activities, where anyone can learn and try techniques to protect family and friends while recreating in, on, or around water.
– May 26, 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm: Water Safety Roundup. LOCATION: Canyon Rim Visitor Center in Lansing, WV. Can you throw a water rescue bag to save a life or make sure you’ve got the best life jacket for you? Try your hand at these water safety techniques – from the safety of land.
– May 27, 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm: Water Safety Festival. LOCATION: “The Pits” boat-launch area on Bluestone Lake, Route 20, Hinton, WV. This hands-on festival for all ages features watercraft safety, lifejacket fittings, water rescue demonstrations, and much more. See how you can put these smart water safety tips into action at every turn.
